I am debating on painting the exterior of my Jeep or doing Monstaliner. So I have some questions.

Those who have done Monstaliner, are you happy with the results down the road and does the color hold up well?

I use my jeep and it is not babied so I dont want to tear off new paint when I'm wheeling.

I will prep everything well and take my time so no worries there but I want to be happy after I cover the entire exterior with Monstaliner.

Just looking for Opinions

Thanks in advance!

Beat it to fit, Paint it to match

I'm finally placing my big order for 4 gallons of monsta and 1 gallon of chassis saver today. Couple questions though.

Can I use acetone to clean the sanding dust off? If some spots are down to bare metal should I spray some primer and sand it again or would it stick ok?

How much monsta did you use? I'm about to order to do my entire jeep exterior and interior

Just ordered my monsta! Going with midnight special (kind of matches my truck). Got two gallons of tint able and 2 gallons black with a gallon of chassis saver!

Wow! That looks great! If I done anything different, I maybe would have Monsta lined the headlight rings the same color and went with the clear signals over amber.

But that looks great! The soft top's color is a great match too!

A year and a half later and many wheeling trips, the Monsta is holding up Very Well!

  • 3 gallons were used. I had about a quart left over. mixed about 2 oz MEK in each gallon when cleaning all the color from the DBTO can.
  • Sprayed with Walcom shutz gun at 70 psi (60 psi first coat) 5 turns out.
  • Had 2 cans to swap when empty.
  • 1 gallon did first coat. Second coat was sprayed heavier and used a gallon and a half.
  • I hit the floors, entries, and tail gate with some extra liner. Spraying heavy gives a larger, rounded texture. I did a light mist last to get the fine texture I desired.
  • By the time you get to the end of painting you'll get the idea of how you want it to be for your preference.
  • The whole inside of the tub, half doors, tail gate, roll bar, the whole outside of the body, and the front inner fender wells were all sprayed.
  • After I finished spraying and pushed it outside into the sun I found a few spots that needed touching up. I used a mini roller and sponge from the
mini kit to take care of those spots.
