Don't you know these are collectors items man. I'm keeping mine stock so it increases in value more. OK so that might not happen.

I am looking into some lifts right now. My plan is to start with a 2" spring lift and later add a body lift to accomadate 33s. I should get the 2" lift this summer. I don't know when I'll get the bigger tires.

My hope is to get it to look something like the picture below when I'm done. Except that I have frame mounted sliders and will have a body lift instead of all suspension. This guy has the 3" bds and I will run the 2" BDS with BL. I like the stock but bigger look.

Good looking Sahara's guys. I had decided on a 2" lift with plans to add a BL and 33s later. Now I see all these nice Jeeps and keep thinking "will that be big enough"... I guess for my needs it is. Although I love the big Jeeps, my priority needs to remain on long distance driving with enhanced offroad capability.

I've been riding around with a 2" BB and 33's.....its perfectly fine on road and handles almost stock. I can however see where it would rub off road.

If you look at my avatar that's 33 on 2" pucks. I trimmed the fender and added 1 hockey puck for bumpstops, about an inch, and I only rub when I'm fully flexed and turning. That's disconnected too.

I suspect Fargo isnt interested in cutting his limited edition flares to allow more flex which is why I commented what I did. I didnt say it couldnt be done, just that he would likely tear his flares off.

Yeah, I won't be cutting my flares. I did see Xantasms picture. Sorry I didn't comment back. I think you may have have missed the part I said I would be running a body lift as well. My plan is to run a 2" spring plus body lift. I see guys all the time with 2" OME lifts and body lifts so I figure it shouldn't be any different with a BDS 2" lift plus body lift. Besides its all in the bumpstop.

The way I see it I could run 33s with my stock setup if I lengthend the bumpstops enough. I'd be on them all the time, but I wouldn't rub. More realistically though, I figure I will gain an inch of clearance by raising the body an inch and then I will extend the bumpstop another inch. That along with a 2" lift should give me enough room to clear 285/75/16s as well as gain an extra inch of suspension travel. Am I missing anything?

No, I was planning on using your Bridgers

Most likely I would run wheel spacers. I found H&R springs makes one for the TJ that is hubcentric and only .6" deep. That would give me a backspace of 4.4". (They also have 25mm and 30mm or .98" and 1.18") I might give that a try if I can find it for a decent price. I'd like to keep things tucked in as tight as possible. My only concern with the skinny spacers is they use longer studs instead of new studs on the adaptor. But since it is hub centric the studs don't carry any weight. So I think it might be OK. But I'll do more research when I'm ready for spacers or rims.

And Glockster is right if you are gonna run the Moab's wheel spacers should be on your list, otherwise get new rims with better backspacing.
Hey now, your scaring me. I thought the general consensus here was that a 2" lift with body lift was enough for a 285/75/16. How much bumpstop is needed to keep the tires out of the fenders. I suppose if I absolutely had to I could run a 1 1/2" bumpstop. But I hate to do that and give up any extra suspension travel I gained with my lift. I could also do a 1 1/4 body lift for that little bit extra. But I think I'd rather stick with the smaller body lift.
