excellent photos. I like how the HDR effect turned out. If you can, next time you're shooting these, try slowing the shutter down some and pan with the quads so you get some motion blur in the tires and the background. Just a suggestion.

Don't know if it applies to the previous picture but the iPhone has a built in HDR option, I think it just cheats and takes a single photo then processes much the same way you can run a single pic through with separate settings.... If that makes any sense

I don't know, and it might be a bit dark but it looks really cool. Kind of makes it look like a small model or something.

Took the original picture, copied three times. Over-exposed +2, Under-exposed -2, and then 0. Then merged them together. I did it manually, not with some plug-in.

This. People dont understand how to do this, or many other types of professional photography. Sad thing is.... it's really not that hard to understand either....

I think most People understand it.

Some just prefer to simulate the effect. Mainly because you can't really do action shots such as the atvs I posted.
You also need to have a tripod which not everyone has. Plus you need a camera with manual adjustments which some don't have either.

The primary reason for HDR photos is to produce an image with no highlight blintz and no blacked out shadows.

Also most HDR image doesn't look very good, UNTIL it gets tonemapped or adjusted anyways.

On another note I think the iPhone takes multiple shots because if I try to shoot an action shot it will create ghosting from multiple shots. Then again iPhone shots arnt tonemapped either.
