Can't find M-715 info.
I'm looking at a 1968 M-715 and thought I could find info on my trusty JF world, but I seem to be looking in all the wrong places. Anybody help me here?

My father is currently restoring one. He uses M715zone.com for a lot of help. There is a guy on there who knows a lot on these trucks but I cant remember his user name.

M715 info
Hi from jeepdan,
Yes, there is an unbelievable amount of info over on the M715 Zone. From experienced advice, to all of the service manuals to reference.

Here is mine, a "frame off" two year restoration.

Was that M16 passenger mount original or was that added in by you? My Father has 2 of these cabs and they only had the drivers gun mount behind the seat. That truck looks amazing by the way! Very well done. I have traveled with my dad to Tennessee to get a non rusted cab for his restoration. His was turned into a Sheriffs truck and we are making it military again.

Like you mentioned, all M715s came with the rifle mount behind the drivers seat.
The dash mounted rifle mount on the commander's side was an option. It is illustrated in the M715 Parts Manual in the cab section.
Mine only had the rifle mount behind the driver's seat as well. I found and added the NOS parts for the commanders side mount.
I love it, and so do spectators at car shows.
Is your dad a Zone member?
My truck had been converted into a brush fire truck and was painted yellow, and I mean EVERYTHING was yellow. LOL

Her husband passed from cancer and she didn't know what to do with it, other than call a scrap yard. (yikes) The truck was all torn apart being restored before he passed so we just started loading everything up and put it in a large barn. Still sorting though everything but we have the chassis and axles together with a trans and transfer case in. Cab is painted and a SBC 305 Novak swap is going in it. Not sure what happened to the Tornado engine

My dad found some manuals on ebay. Let me check with his manual to see if I can see what they have on timing. Sorry I just now saw this...
