Pilot bearing removal
Does anybody have any tricks to removing the pilot bearing outer race (All that is left). It is being very stubborn! Thanks in advance.
Are you changing the pilot bearing? If so you don't have to remove the outer race...use the grease pack trick or bread and a deep socket or dowel rod to get the bearing out. Or you can get a puller at a parts store on loan....If you are doing something else have you already removed the bearing?

2000 Jeep wrangler doing clutch job. I have pulled the guts out of the bearing by using a sliding hammer puller. Have not tried the grease or bread method because it seems to be stuck too bad. I don't think any puller will work now since I have rounded the back of the race too much. Considering easy out, drilling it out, or sawing it in half.
