Bumper Mod and whatnot

Bought another 95 YJ a few months back. Nothing Fancy, just my "cheaper version of a glorified UTV" that's closed in and heat when needed when bow season rolls back around. The after market tube bumpers were on it at purchase. I bought a winch because there's plenty of spots on the trails that I'd hate to attempt alone without one. Bought a pre-fabbed winch plate and I had to notch out the tube tube of the bumper to accommodate the new winch. Bacically, I fabbed some plates to add to the bumper to accommodate the KC lights back onto the bumper. I didn't want the KC lights on the outside of the vertical tube. I think it would look a little funny with the KC's directly below the headlamps. The headlamp were a new addition as well. I swapped out the old ones with LED's. Anyways, the plates are nothing heavy duty, but more or less a place to re install the KC lights close together, as they were, but more or less, farther away from the bumper rather than tucked behind the bar. I have added an Auxbeam 8 gang switch panel as well. Installed an LED light strip to the inside of the top, at the rear so I don't have to use a flashlight throwing on bowhunting gear. It's super bright and serves my practicality. I'm gonna tie in another light strip at the front, above head between the seats, for additional light as well, with a quick disconnect before the splice to the lights, for the purpose of removing the hardtop and the lights staying with it. A little work at a time and I'll have it set up like I want it. It's nothing for show, just my glorified hunting wagon like I said. I'll post some pics of the bumper plates and lights mounted after I get er' welded and cleaned up.

Great pre-fabrication mockup with the cardboard templet, just make sure to include a reinforced hook-up point on the frame. You will be able to utilize your winch to its full potential for extraction and recovery with a block and tackle setup.

Yes Sir, already had that planned for sure. I haven't touched it any since the post. the six plates are still in the vice in the shop. Got them all pinched together for grinding, so they'll all be pretty much exact pieces when done. Too many other projects going right now. lol
