Purchased MaxCare on wife's kl. Transmission crapped out at 38k. Got a rental, dealer service center was easy, paid $0. Gotta feeling I'll be back before 100,000 miles for one thing or another. FCA warranties are very often available relatively cheap online through authorized dealers. A bumper to bumper 7/60,000 (I have a short drive to work) on my Wrangler with $100 deductible was less than $1k. Dealer where I bought the vehicle wanted 1,600 for the same warranty.

How do they do the payments, is it added to the vehicle purchase loan or by itself? How much a month is it?

Purchased it outright, but you might be able to set up payments.

you put a down payment on the lifetime warranty and pay off the balance over 12 months interest free.

I like that. Thanks!

Trying to make a lump sum payment is like having to pay the full deductible with certain insurance claims, it's just too difficult to come up with that sum of money, especially in a bad economy like where I live.

I bought lifetime warranty for my 2015 TH because I'm keeping it, forever. Vehicles these days are essentially rolling computers and it's worth the peace of mind for me too. Factor in also that when I leased , with plans to buy, 2014 compass ,my tranny failed at 700 miles and there were problems after that too.
