Lockers for 2019 limited Cherokee?

Good afternoon everyone. I was wondering if anyone could help me with a question I have about my wife's 2019 limited Cherokee.

So my question is: Are there any aftermarket lockers available for this model? I really am not a fan of the 4wheel drive modes and the slip or break away that occurs in these modes the Jeep has. I want a true 4x4 lock if possible . Not that we off road this at all really but in a snow storm or even our driveway has been a challenge for the so called snow mode etc.

Thanks!

Thank you !

ADI or ADII? Stock tires or M&S?

You will have to forgive me . I am not sure how to tell if it's ad1 or 2. Everything is stock on the car. This started out as a lease for her. But now she has decided she likes it and would like to keep it. Not my preference but hey whatever.... So it is time for some modifications and add one. I am just not familiar with the new keeps at all. I always had older jeeps that were easy lol

So how can I identify what AD I have ?

Thanks

Okay, if the Jeep has a 4WD low range, then it has Active Drive 2.

Forced induction,
It does not have 4wd low. So it must be AD1. What are my options ? Would like to get some slightly more aggressive tires nothing crazy just a snow and mud that has a good on road wear. And lockers. Any recommendations or options for this ?

Thanks!

Cool

As far as I am aware, nothing like lockers are available. The AD1 is really the on-road 4x4 option, designed for snowy paved roads, etc. Of course it is capable of off-road use but it isn’t a Wrangler or even a TrailHawk. Larger tires usually require a lift, over 1.5-2” will cause problems. Better tires of stock or near-stock size can make a big difference in traction. Dedicated snow tires would be my recommendation, I lived in Alaska for 27 years and know that snow tire tread design, sticky rubber and studs (if you can use them) made a world of difference over “all-season” tires. I ended up with Nokian Hakkapeliitta tires, but I don’t have a good feel for their wear characteristics since I only put on about 3000 miles a year, much on ice and compacted snow rather than bare pavement.

I haven't needed to use my stock locker on the TH. Even teetering
on 2 wheels, it just keeps going... I've engaged it, really couldn't
tell the difference..... LOL

When we do right, no one remembers. When we do wrong, no one forgets.
