Why so much for freight?

Guys can you PLEASE look at your freight pricing. I tried to order some very small and light parts and the costs to ship were silly. Everything could fit in a shoe box but you wanted $140+ to ship. We WANT to order from you but the freight and the lack of bundling what packing is ensuring you loose $1000's in orders.

WHO DOESN'T LOVE A QUADRATEC ORDER IN THE MAIL !!!
But as the first one states, I've had to settle with freight costs equalling a third of the costs of the goods, sometimes up to half.
I've even put another buyer onto you guys who recently purchased over $1000 dollars worth of gear but was shocked at the freight costs.
Any help to your Aussie customers would be AWESOME !!

Have a look at these parts...

2 51201 00 DRAIN COCK JA001126
1 51207 02 HOSE-RADIATOR-LOWER 75-86 CJ W/6CYL J5362162
1 51208 01 HOSE-RADIATOR UPPER 72-86 CJ W/6CYL J8136659
4 52413 51 GASKET-DRIVE FLANGE J5362001
10 16736 01 BRAKE HOSE RETAINING CLIP J0637427
2 52405 50 BEARING ASSEMBLY-SPINDLE J8127356
1 55014 0111 OUTER DOOR SEAL KIT 76-95 CJ/YJ PAIR KD3006
1 16311 202 RE SWAYBAR DISCONNECTS YJ 2-3 CJ 4.5IN RE1170
4 24247 901 SHORT ANGLE BRACKET FOR LAP BELTS FAB-1000-3

Now apparently they cant be put in 1 box together because they may get damaged and its going to cost $140 to ship.

Well sorry QUADRATRAC but you have lost another customer. The SAME items are on there way to me for $38 shipping because they could be bothered to put the items in 1 box rather that keep them packaged into their own boxes. You were given 3 chances with this order and blew it 3 times.

Q-tec's shipping is a problem. Yeah, continental US JF members can get free shipping, but relatively few people even know about that deal. As this thread shows, not everyone is from the continental US either. Q-tec missed-out on quite a lot of business from me because of their shipping prices when I didn't know about the free shipping Jeepforum deal.

I guess their sponsorship on here means nothing at all considering how they reply to questions or even acknowledge them. I PM'ed there competitor on here, got a reply withing 30 mins and have now ordered and paid for the items saving over $100.

I'm glad for you! I don't care for Q-tec much anymore. I usually buy straight from the mfg, plus most of the brands I buy aren't something Q-tec deals with.

All forum members get free shipping (Cont. US only). Just PM a rep. Seriously don't know how people don't know about it, since Quadratec has a big flashing ad at the top of the page for non-supporters that states it.

Well that would explain it. I use the mobile app. Along with a lot of other people. Thanks though! I had already planned on becoming a member anyway so that works out well

We, the company I work for, periodically ship items to Australia, Cairns specifically, and have used UPS for a couple of years. However, we have found that flat rate USPS is MUCH cheaper than UPS when shipping to AUS. More than likely Q-tech has a domestic shipping rate deal with their carrier and that is who they use for everything. Might see if they will consider shipping flat rate USPS to Australia.

Hi All I PMed them a message at quadratec with a list of about $1200 in parts and four plus hours later have not yet received any response. I wonder if they are still offering the free freight.... VooDoo2 or anyone else, can you tell me who the other competitor is?

Thanks!

Quadratec takes days to PM back. They aren't on the forum 24/7. Just wait.

I waited over a yr and they still haven't ever responded to PM's on here even after multiple attempts, threads in their section and emails to them result in completely ignoring the issues and replying with no. My business goes elsewhere now. The threads are still in their section both on here and Ausjeepoffroad forums are full of them too.
