Salt Lake City, UT, USA to Zacatecas, ZAC, Mexico

So I decided to do it. Move 50% of my **** to Mexico.

I have been working in Zacatecas for the last year and change and as I got my Mexican temporary resident card I realized that I couldn't really keep telling everyone I live in Utah. Sure, I have a residence there but I am only there about 7 days out of every month to see my daughter.

I have begun to do every modification I deem necessary to bring my 2006 LJ Rubicon and my AT Chaser (full of my affects) to Mexico. It's a long to do list of needs and wants. Due to my stupidity I have had to replace my front axle and do some other repairs. Below is a list of what I have done and some stuff that I may do depending on funds and timing.

Why post on Jeep Forum and not Expedition Portal? No reason. Just am. This thread is in a small corner of the forum and I really don't care if anyone even reads it. It's more of a personal exercise and to see if I can consistently post a process and a trip.

TheJeepGuy

Here are some photos from the Jeep Guy as he has been doing my work over the last couple of weeks.

He has his own LJ build that is turning out really cool.

Some of the items completed have been:

Rear Upper Teraflex 4 Link
Front Upper Teraflex LA
Replaced the stock D44 that I bent with a G2 D44hp
Installed the Teraflex Speedbumps in the Rear

When I get back to SLC I will get more pictures.

Saludos

More Modifications

Just got back to Mexico a couple of days ago. While I was in Salt Lake I went and got my jeep to look at the current changes, get the registration done, and drive it around. This included the finish of the G2 Core D44HP front axle swap. Fixed a lot of my issues resulting from a wonderful "stupid-me" accident in Montana. Also, the completion of the upper control arms in the front and the 4-link in the rear (Finally! I had been wanting to finish this over the last 2 years) I also had the Teraflex rear bump stops installed. All-in-all it handles better.

Due to some long lead items I might have to push this adventure out to April or May. I have decided that my do or die date will be the end of June. There will be an event in Zacatecas called the Bonjour that is an expedition type event that I will want to attend. Should be fun. Easy trails and good food.

On the next trip back to Utah the following should be completed:

1. Vanco Upgrade
2. Supercharger
3. Front and Rear bumper swap
4. Rocker Slider Install
5. Trailer hubs maintained and inspected
6. Clean out trailer and tent

I've searched the internet looking for pictures, posts, reviews, comments...anything that would provide a more complete idea of the event. There is some stuff from past events....some pictures...some articles...some videos.....links below:
