Angry Spam pop-ups/ jeepforum only

Anyone else? Been getting spam or malware type adds for the past week, seem to be getting worse. Had to restart this post twice because of them. Only on JF, NO other sites.

BlackBerry running Android, pop up and ads blocked, has to be coming though this site

Which browser are you running on your Android Blackberry? You can run adblockplus or the like on android using either chrome or firefox, not sure on the embedded android browser as I don't use it. Likely attributed to one of the ads that are showing for your area that seem to slip through every once in a while and it takes a bit for VS to catch the bad ad and get it removed from rotation.

Chrome.

I have the BlackBerry blocker, which is usually extremely effective. I have literally NEVER gotten another pop -up anywhere, anytime other than on this forum

I have the 'address' of the website that pops up, but I don't want to 'advertiser's it either. Even googling it brings up the page itself.

It's an 'extra******event.club' pop-up if that helps

(Not the right number of spaces. Just fyi)

Quick question for confirmation. When you get these are you running the desktop version of the site on your mobile device? This sounds like a particular type of ad issue that could be related to that fact. Also is the offending URL what you posted above without the ****?

Correct. Desktop version in chrome on a blackberry Key1 w/ android OS.

I have the full website address (I deleted the middle) but didn't want to post it because it comes up as a link. Want me to send it to you or post here?

The more information you can give us the better we can work towards reporting and fixing the bug, including tracking back where the ad might have started, so yes full URL will be helpful here. If you don't mind.

Redacted was how it showed up in my history, guessing it's adware of sorts (but admittedly IT is not my strong suit!)

Thanks!
