Bad battery destroyed my electronics. Should I push for more?

I bought a new battery for my RC crawler last weekend and went to use it on monday. Charged it correctly and put it in my crawler. I took it outside and it ran for about 15 seconds then stopped. So I picked it up and took the shell off thinking I must have a bad connection at the battery connectors. Next thing I knew my ESC started smoking and lit up! So I tried unplugging the battery but the connectors were melted together so I just flipped the on/off switch to off. Then I noticed the battery was growing in size so I took a few steps back and BLAM! It blew up. I took photos of everything and contacted the company who asked me to send them the pictures. I did and I just got an email back asking for my address so they can send me a new battery. Should I push them to replace my ESC as well? Or am I just **** out of luck?

Imo, if you did everything correctly when you charged the battery, they should be replacing everything damaged by it.

thats how I feel. The ESC I have in it is 90 bucks new and if I hadnt used their battery, I wouldnt be having to worry about buying a new one. The charger that I use is my buddies at his work. There are seven or eight of us that use that same charger and three of us with the same battery and no ones ever had a problem with it before.

Edit: and another thing i kinda surprised about is that they didnt ask to have the battery shipped back to them. I would think that if one of your products went bad you would want to investigate it and make sure it was a fluke and make sure it wouldnt happen again

They should be liable to replace your truck IMO. They gave you a defective battery and could have SERIOUSLY burned you, and seriously screwed up your ride(toy)

I just recently had a venom Lopo go bad on me,luckily it didn't do any damage. But the battery company was very easy to deal with. I followed the steps they sent me which was a salt /water mix soaking for 3days and they told me after that I could just throw it away. After that they sent me a new battery no charge air freight.
