Haha tell me about it tim. I need to have my synchros replaced something fierce..... Unfortunately the transmission is one thing that I don't think I can rip apart and rebuild in my driveway in 1 day. I'm going to put a new clutch in while the tranny is dropped... Save some time. It's just an extra 5 bolts.

Jeep build up...ONGOING

FINALLY have my rig running again. Swapped in a new battery today and replaced an axle bearing earlier this week. I still don't have my e-brake system working yet though . Seems pretty clear to me that I need new brake shoes.

Bad news is that I have some sort of serious oil leak. Looks to be the rear main seal. Also need to have my rear pinion seal swapped out. For that rear main seal I'm thinking of just having a shop do it. That's a messy job I don't feel like tackling.

I attempted to remove my rear pinion nut to change the pinion seal but I don't have an impact gun strong enough to burp it off. Can't seem to get enough leverage to do it with a breaker bar either. Perhaps another job for the local shop .

Once I get all this junk taken care of I then need to get her inspected and registered. So yeah, still might be awhile 'till I'm seen on the trails once again.

ya if it could be done in a day i think i might do it tomorrow but unfortunately since i have zero experience with transmissions i have to wait for my dad to get back from japan....its gonna be a long 2 weeks without the jeep but hopefully the clutch will fix all my tranny issues and i wont have to do major surgery on the transmission

Yeah man. Its a pain in the *** sometimes. I'm going back and forth with what to do with my tax returns.... Get more stuff for my Jeep, or buy a nice new TIG welder.
