Anybody on this site still wheel around the Charlottesville area? Seems pretty quiet around here lately.

If anyone is still on and interested in going on some train runs around here, feel free to pm me. I don't have a super built up rig or anything (yet), just a still mostly stock '03 WJ Overland, but I'd love to go on any trails I can take her down.

At the very least, anyone have any suggestions on some good trails for a stock WJ? I've read about Big Levels and Shoe Creek Trail, and I've gone down Rapidan Road a few times (if you can really call the latter a trail), but I'm pretty new to the Jeep scene and any good ideas are welcome.

'03 WJ Overland "Breaker": Bone stock ...for now.

Consider west of Harrisonburg, off hwy. 33. Second Mountain, Dictum's Ridge, Flagpole. Good trails & fairly stock friendly.
Big Levels will swallow you without good clearance and mud tires ≥31", and the creek crossings on Shoe creek are probably pretty nasty for a stocker, just from the rocks. Shoe Creek's been a fight for a few years with ONE property owner in the middle section, the USFS because kids tear up the areas around the trail, and treehuggers having more rights than outdoorsmen/Jeepers.

Trailheads for all 3 are about 2 hours from Charlottesville, up 81 or down 29.
