Pismo sounds fun. I'll have to check my days off.

I want to HID my KC's for sure, maybe my headlights as well ($$$?). I'll be ready soon, just need to do some xmas shopping first.

Blaine has the thrifty nickel now, when I get it back the axles should be set and should be ready for some at least moderate trails hopefully!

Benefits of projectors: REALLY FXCKING BRIGHT

as for the price IDK but I'm guessing they're pretty expensive.

Getting lockers and gears front and rear. 4.56 with 33's and the Savvy Gas Tank skid installed. Then once I get the rails off I'm sanding them and flat black paint and the jeep will be looking sharp.

Hey guys,

It is just about that time again so I thought I would post up about the 2011 King of the Hammers race at Johnson Valley. The event will run from Feb 7-12th and I believe the main event is on Fri. Feb 11. I have requested that day off so I can go again, anyone interested in cruising around to all the key canyons in their Jeeps? ...it is a full day event with lots of walking/hiking as you can only drive to the canyon and then need to hike in to the good observation points.

Anyway, there is plenty of time to make arrangements and if you are interested, shoot me a PM and we can meet up and try to represent the GC's from Southern OC.

Here is a link (click the photo) to the photos I took last year so you can get an idea of what is in store next year:

Gerald at Savvy Off Road get's me all my gears all my stuff and...well everything. He works with a couple local guys that do great work and are a lot cheaper than the off road shops near here. But on the other hand i've been pretty lucky to know him. Savvy Offroad is their website or you can email him [email protected] I got a screaming deal front and rear axles installed locked up and ready to rock.

Axles are still going. I had to get am antirock for the rear cause the LCAs block the stock swaybar. Then I had to get wheel spacers to get the tires to clear the antirock linkages. I really didn't want spacers but its that or a new wider axle or some other form of a swaybar. I'll get some pics this weekend. I'm really happy with the way everything is turning out but it has taken longer than I thought.
I'm definitely going to the hammers this year... I may need a ride if my jeep isn't finished. I really had fun on the TDS run last year... so lets group up for that too.

Does anyone have any metal stuff lying around that they want to give to me? My neighbor is going to teach me how to weld next week and i need something to work with. I primarily would like some thick steel plates (gonna try to reinforce some things on my XJ), and some steel tubing (small cargo rack for the inside).

Thanks

Industrial Metal Supply in Irvine sells full length or just leftover pieces. Prices are like 65 cents a pound for steel.
For $10 you can get enough metal to be welding for days.
