WJ stock-to-2in lift wheel spacer pictures

I have tried looking everywhere for some photos of a WJ with either stock ride height or up to 2in lift showing 1-1.5in wheel spacers. I want to see if the stance is nice or if I'd be wasting $80-100 on spacers.

Well... having just gone through this, my personal opinion is to save your Money for a real lift kit.

The problem I found is that the spring spacers put your control arms at a different angle, which caused excessive death wobble..

But they work for some.. just not me. Wasted a few hundred bucks because the stock shocks were shot, and now have to buy stock height shocks and Iím stuck with extended shocks..

I believe he is talking about 2" of lift, AND 1 1/2" wheel spacers.

You may not need spacers if you stay with stock or near stock tire size. If you get aftermarket wheels with more negative offest, it will do the same thing.

This is my son's 2000 with the factory tire diameter, but his wheel is 1" wider(8") and zero offset(his lug surface is exactly centered in the width of the rim) The pic isnt from behind the Jeep, but it may still give you an idea....He has a 2" Spring lift. The tires stick out about 1"-1 1/2" from the edge of the fender.

Lifting a Jeep doesn't cause DW. All of my 18 Jeeps drove great with no wobbles at all. My V8 WJ with 2.5" lift and 1.5" wheel spacers. My XJ with 5.5" of lift and 33s and Rubicon on 35s.

All suspension lifts change control arm angles. They don't cause DW. You had other issues or didn't adjust the front toe in to 1/8" after the lift.

2" of lift ended up about 2.5"...an 1.5" spidertrax spacers. no issues couldnt be happier.
All i know what ive been told on doin 2" suspension lift is if you had a problem before and didnt notice it, it will bring it more to your attention and not from the lift its self.

I recommend you dont get the spacers. If you want a wider stance it is better to get the wheels with the correct backspacing. There are many people who have used spacers and not had any problems, But I have seen a number of problems caused by spacers. Spacers put more strain on the suspension components and adds connection points at the point of the most stress. Even if the spacers don't cause a failure, it will cause your suspension components to wear out faster.

Iím glad the spacers worked for you all.
I put in a new track bar and had it aligned twice. My friend, checked the ball joints and he said they were super tight. And strange enough, he has a full lift in his garage.

Iím just not in a position to start randomly replacing stuff right now, but I need it running. And they are indeed 2.5 inches.

I think he's looking for wheel spacers, not spring spacers.

Anyway's, my advice, if you are going to run spacers at least get a quality set, preferably hub centric. Don't run those cheap Amazon spacers or those junk ones from Autozone/O'reillys/wherever, that's asking for trouble.

List them on your local craigslist. I sell all of my spare Jeep parts there. I just sold some newer RC N3 shocks for $150.

I guess I can... I just waste so much time and effort on Craigslist.. so many scammers and people asking tons of questions when they donít intend to buy anyway...
