Hey man funny I just saw a really easy and great upgrade for the 42RE cooler over on Mall Crawlin'. Might want to check it out before you get into that; it's about two times bigger than the stock one and takes almost no fabricating to bolt up.

Not sure which part they replaced the OEM with but it's in the FAQ/Write Up section.

Hope this is helpful.

Do you wheel in mud or tow? My YJ buddy suggested up dating my fan, radiator and cooling system for when I sink it and have to feed it some heavy skinny pedal to get out. If it seems like a necessary upgrade off to searching I go.

One is the A\C Condenser,

Yes you already have a trans-cooler built into the Radiator, being lifted 3" bigger tires than stock and a heavy right foot will help the already helpless 42re

i have the external cooler in addition to the radiator one.

Power steering cooler just idling it was reaching 100+degrees. header sits right next to the power steering pump. bigger tires more work = more heat. I also added a Magna-Pure power steering filter.

Im going to have to move my power steering cooler unfortunately when i put the upper radiator support back on it hits..

Reason the tubes are so long Getting tubes onto Tube and FIN coolers SUCK ***. plus i wanted it more in the path of the fan. heavy duty clutch ftw.

Oh, did not know about the A/C condenser. What do you mean built in? Sorry if that is a silly question. Did you not have the tow-package?

Good idea on the Power steering cooler. Definitely cant hurt!

Josh what model is the 679 for? I found this through Summit...$55 isn't bad for a priceless upgrade.

Have you also installed a transmission temperature gauge?

Oh...I only read the first post to double check where you were asking about the 679. Is it too large because it doesn't fit with fabricating or because it's overkill?

Sorry for the questions but I haven't researched this much yet.

2004's without tow pack. have the trans. sharing the condensor as a cooler and only an electric fan. Let us know how your cooler works I'll be adding one soon.

So what does the 2004 I6 with the tow package have? Mechanical fan, electric fan, and transmission cooler built into the A/C condenser?

Dunno, I added my factory hitch not sure if they route it through the rad. or the condensor. Either way a aux. cooler should be added. I'm still looking around to find the right size.
