Bought factory service manuals because I decided I'm going to be keeping this rig for a lonnnng time. Figure they'll come in handy at helping me drain my bank account.

As to the conversion: It seemed like such a good idea at the time, but I'll tell you this, the first time you have to repack the coal burner while going down the highway at 80... yeah, you really start to question your life decisions at that point!

Oh, who am I kidding? My 4.slow doesn't do 80!
Really, this is me after swapping to the Viper coil...

Installed some Bilstein 5100's in the rear only because one of my shocks started clunking. Measured the old ones after i noticed the rear sitting noticeably higher, guess they managed to keep stock length shocks with a BB grrr.... guess new fronts are also in my future

I took the battery out, cleaned it up along with the terminals, did a temp fix on a broken exhaust bracket and added some stop leak into the radiator and topped it off. Not much, but it feels good to have that done.

Finally reinstalled the HVAC case and got the dash frame back in. Also started installing my 4 gauge battery cables
Picked up some auto and marine weather stripping from Lowe's and I still have a gap around the dash vents to mode doors so guess I'll end up ordering the stuff listed in the reseal write up. :brick;

Took Bella out to the Oceano Dunes OHV Park for the first time since I lifted it for a good and proper workout on the sand. The new Core control arms are fantastic on the dunes. Same for the Ironman4x4Fab rear UCA, although it did squeek a bit. The wider 265 tires felt great too, so much traction! Oh yeah, very pleased with the performance. I should probably not play in the sand with the windows down, my interior is filthy now.

No pics though. I tried a GoPro vid in time lapse mode but it is pretty much unwatchable. I need to learn how to use this thing better.

I picked it up from the shop today. Needed to have spider gears replaced i the rear differential. It seems there was water that got in the differential and fouled the gear oil. The resulting pits in the spider gears were causing a funny rotation/gyrating sound when starting from a stop. She is silent now.

Down some random canyon on the north side of truck haven. Pretty gnarly rock crawling getting to it.

I love thrift stores. Used to stop in at the Salvation Army every day until they closed here. That was a sad day.

We have a local one. Not as many cool items, but I stop in when I can.

Today, I happened across a tail light. My old one was chipped a bit, but not enough to warrant spending a lot to replace it. Just a piece that came off when I went to pop it off one time. (And the one I damaged was new to the Jeep; the original had collision damage.)

What are the odds of finding a brand new WJ tail lamp assembly in a small town thrift store, for the side I need? I told my wife that it's God approving of my frequent visits to these places

I also have a vehicle information computer assembly for this Jeep I found there, and there's still one without the buttons for the garage door remote.
