I think after the age of these Jeeps, its worth noting, that you really need to add whatever is already in there if you are just topping off. Either coolant will work, but you have to continue to add the same as what is in the system currently when repairs are made. Many times, the HOAT gets drained and replaced with the standard green stuff along the way(I prefer this actually) If it looks green, add green, if it looks orange/brown, add HOAT.

The 4,0 is not a high tech exotic. Any quality antifreeze will work (I've been using Prestone green in all my Jeep 6s for years without any issues whatever. When I replaced my first 4.2 cooling system was perfectly clean,120K into my current 4.2 still fine)

Probably good idea as noted not to mix with HOAT though Prestone has a product that they claim will mix with anything.

Recommend pre-mix. That way you don't need to find proper water and you don't have to calculate when topping up.
