Passenger Rear Suspension Noise

Hey everyone.

I'm looking for some help on determining the source of a noise that is coming from the passenger rear suspension. I would like some input before I just start purchasing some parts and replacing things.

This noise can occur when I am accelerating or braking, on large bumps, etc. It gets quite annoying. A little heads up, I live in the rust belt if that might means anything.

Thanks for your help! I appreciate it.

Very likely the upper control A arm bushing where it mounts to the body. You may also have a bit of tail end steer, loose tail , feels like wind blows car around on straight windless drives.

A Arm is certainly possible.
You might also try to isolate it first to be sure. Disconnect the rear shock at the bottom and re-do the bounce. You won't even need to jack it up to do it. Just take off the nut and use a screwdriver to wedge under the shock and take pressure off of the bolt.

Putting the shock back in position will take a little dexterity to put the bolt back in but it is not tough.

That sound is just like what happens to mine with my poly bushing dries out on my Addco rear sway. I just use the zerk fitting to add more grease. It looks like you have the stock sway and that you already tried to put some lube on it, so that's probably not it.
