PanaVise for cell phone

So someone in here mentioned PanaVise and I thought that sounded interesting. I have a Jotto Desk in my Excursion and have two phone mounts on that, but these clever brackets mount using existing real estate and hardware. On the WJ you can even mount phones on both sides of the stereo, so I did. Located just above the power ports is perfect.

The part number for the bracket is 75122-201 and then you add whatever phone mount you want. I used the 15585 mount because you can adjust the angle of the phone so the display is perfect. My youngest son told me that it was "legit", so I guess I did well.

I know nothing exists if you don't have pictures, so I will post those later today. I didn't drive the Jeep to work...

I use two of them, left side for my CB and the right for my phone when I am running Motion GPX for navigation. I like them very much.

Ooooo, I've been looking for something like this for a handheld CB -- I can cut a notch in the top of the bracket for the belt clip. Thanks

The bracket itself mounts right side up or upside down depending on which side you want to mount it. All the bends are in the right place.

This attachment bolts on to the bracket and is held in place by the two stereo mounting screws.

Hey Klarah,

I tried to include some detailed photos, nice dust, so you can determine if you need a notch or not.

Curious where you got your switch panel from near the cigarette lighter or is it custom made

Matthew, I got the switches and the switch holders from Amazon. They are modular in the sense that they click together depending on how many you need. There are specific right and left ends and the ones that go in the middle. Look at my build thread for some pictures, but if you need more detail info just drop a note. I can provide the links to Amazon.

I will, it'll be for the belt clip to slide down into so the CB doesn't slide off the bracket while wheeling. Though the holes might be in the wrong place and will end up making any slot too wide, I'll think more once I have them -- I think better when I physically have whatever I'm trying to jury rig.

This is what I did. Sorry for the out of focus picture but you get the idea. Originally I used the two small bolts at the end of the holder to prevent the clip from sliding of the bracket but later on I installed the mike button and the holder which seems to work a lot better. So far no issues with the CB bouncing of the holder on rough rides.

Hey Klarah,

You might want to go to the PanaVise web site https://www.panavise.com/index.html?...ECTIONSword=ww and see if they have a specific mount for what you are trying to do. The selection seems pretty robust.

I ended up making something out of some old electronics perfboard with some spraypaint and hardware from Ace -- I'm in an apartment and have limited fab capabilities. Not the prettiest, but it'll definitely work -- the Uniden clip isn't all that, so the extra thickness helped.

Hey Klarah,

Looks like a success story to me.

I just wanted to let people know that the bracket is out there and they can do what they want.

Thanks for making this post.

I just ordered a couple PanaVise 75122-201 from ebay, a RAM Quick-Grip XL and a ball mount short arm made for AMPS mounting.

For about $50, I'm going to have a legit cell phone mount that won't interfere with a factory, single DIN, double DIN or 10" screen tablet style head unit.

I got a new vehicle to fit a new city so I'm using navigation all the time, this will help me navigate safely!
