the BBB will do you no good. Businesses don't have to register with them. Make 'em fix it, if they won't, then an attorney is who you need to talk to. (I'd file a claim with the Attorney General for your state)

You guys have me worried because I can't see the HO on mine and I just checked an injector P/N and it says it is valid for Overland as well as all other 4.7 models. I do have all the HO intake equipment and such and no evidence that the motor was swapped. Hmm...

Will HO heads fit on a regular 4.7L and work? I might do this soon.

Phew! Heart stopping moment there. Checked the casting number on the heads (easily visible) and I do in fact have the HO. Look on the passenger side head for 53021458 right behind the alternator mount.

Whoa, guys....simma' down for a few.

I don't see any indication here from the OP that he actually TALKED to the shop, asked questions about the install and, if in fact an incorrect engine was installed, discussed options to remedy. I know we're a hugely litigious society and we all love just jumping for lawyers and crap but how about starting with some basic discussion???

OP - what was the garage's response when you pointed out their error?

And did you provide them with documentation demonstrating that it is not, in fact, a High Output engine? Did you ask them for documentation demonstrating that it IS, in fact, a High Output engine?

It's so easy to prove that this is or is not a H.O. engine. I'm seriously not being a jerk...I guess I just don't get where the problem is. Either it is one or it isn't. If it isn't, it makes no sense to me that a garage would truly jeopardize its business by getting caught in a scam. You're just one of their many, many customers so it just doesn't figure that they would prioritize screwing you over their entire enterprise.
