Sounds like you just about have it nailed. After a ride like that you just want it in between the top and bottom "hot" marks. (closer to the top preferred) Well done!

Ok, this is where I am at. Here in OKC it is 38 degree F this evening. Drove for 30 min again and closer to the right level but the transmission is not getting hot, the fluid on my hands is just warm and the pan is warm to the touch. Measured the fluid temp inside the transmission with my DMM temp probe and also used my IR temp sensor on the hot side of the transmission fluid line to the transmission cooler. Both temps read 126 degrees F. I pulled the 565RFE temp chart and plotted my measurements (cause that's the kind of guy I am) orange is where my fluid is, blue is where it should be for 126 degrees. I added 4 more oz, so 7 qts 29 oz.

Damn Caliskier! You dont need our help, you just need a spreadsheet! Ha Ha. i think you are gonna be just fine! Only thing you needed was to know to check it while idling, i bet you never will forget that now. Lol

Ha ha, thanks brother, yeah I am definitely learning about how these transmissions work. On my odyssey its really simple, drain 3.3 quarts, fill 3.3 quarts

Yep, I think you can rest easy now. Time to move on to something else fun. Like a lift kit!
