Help with another brand...

I know this may be blasphemy but are there any Subaru knowledgeable here? In particular an Outback 2016 variety. A good friend has one and I am getting ready to do some suspension work on it, a small lift. Looking for any tips from those who know these things. Thanks!

I'm a bit of a Subaru wrench. The lift on these is usually a spacer kit, space down the struts and a drop kit for the rear subframe. Speaking of subframe...make sure the 4 bolts can be loosened before starting. They have a tendency to get rusty and are a bear to get out.

Here's some decent instructions from a kit. https://installguides.s3.ca-central-...9_installguide

this is not a real lift, but everything depends upon real needs: https://www.spaccer.com/en_IE/system...spiral-springs

I was referred to ReadyLift SST kit. Says it will fit a 245/65-17 tire with +38 offset wheel without messing with the cradle due to their offset bushings, seems to have good reviews overall. The tire size allowed would be perfect for her, this rig will be for fire roads and light trailing in Northern Michigan. No mud bogging or rock crawling. I am gathering all the suspension parts front and rear now as well as CV shafts, struts, etc.
