Front Side Indicator

Hi, sorry guys really small, stupid question - 2004 GC, RHD, UK. How do I get the small side indicator / blinker assembly open / out of the front right wing (fender?) to change the bulb. I looked in the user manual and it says to use a small screwdriver, Ive tried that and the whole assembly seems to be looser, but its very dry and brittle, I dont want to crack it and break it. Does the entire unit pop out of the wing with a bit more force? Thanks

Can we get a picture? I'm thinking the US spec versions don't have this indicator. We only have the light that's integrated to the headlight assembly.

Aha, if its unique to UK spec cars, then perhaps then that is why I can find virtually zero info about it..

Yep...not a US-spec item.
I'm thinking it probably does come out with a wedge of a screwdriver blade. Any chance you can pull down the wheel well liner to see or push it out? Probably not a bad idea to flush that area out anyway once access is revealed.

Thanks, I didnt think about pulling the wheel liner - I think I'll do that rather than damage the paint or smash the plastic. Replacement parts aint cheap here in the UK - if you can get 'em. I'll report back in case anyone is interested!

There ya go - https://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f310...moval-1285941/

Think you need to get the wheel well liner out of the way, as well.

I think you either push the lamp forward or backward (been a while since I took mine out) and then you should be able to use a screwdriver to pop the catch and it should then slid and lift out.
