Wj Dying Window Regulator

So about a week ago some friends were riding in my car and of course they all immediately try to roll the windows down. As one of them tries to roll down the window I am trying to rolling it up and what do you know... the regulator just gives up. So the window is sitting at the bottom of the door.

I can still hear the motor working as I click up-down on my door panel. Today, I spent 1.5 hours taking the door panel off to see if I could troubleshoot/fix the problem. I can manually push the window up to the top of the door, and then when I click-down the regulator will pull the window down as it should so I think it's just on its last leg.

I should probably just buy a new regulator. How difficult is it to replace?

Very easy. It took me about 30-40 minutes to replace my drivers window regulator. I was kicking myself afterwards, because I waited about a year to replace it. The part only cost me 46.00 off of ebay.

Good deal! Thanks for the info. The only problems I encountered when trying to get to the regulator was one of the speaker screws. I removed two of them with no problem but there's one that just won't budge. Any advice on how to get it out?

longer wrench. Should be just a standard screw like the rest. It's a easy fix btw. I got mine @ autozone ~$100.

I just replaced my passenger side regulator. Took about 1.5 hours and I'm not very good with that type of stuff. This should help.
Plus you can get the part from them. Dealer wanted $260 for the part. I got mine from 1aauto for about 60.
