Lightbulb To-do: Door Speaker Replacement [Done]

I was in AutoZone today to pick up some tire shine, and then I thought about seeing what kind of audio equipment they had. So I ended up finding a 6x5 speaker for $16 and decided, "sure, why not??"

I knew the new speaker wouldn't line up exactly with the factory mounting holes.. and I was forced to improvise.

What I did:

"Oh no, it doesn't line up."

I tore apart the busted speaker and separated the grill from it.

Then I found some spare wire in the "junk-drawer" and twisty-tied the two together.

Split and stripped the wires..

and voilą! It's installed.

Sounds pretty much the same as the stock infinity speaker!

Hahahaha, I used plexiglass and the speaker as a template (traced it) then dremeled out the brackets for our 6.5s.
