Blue wire?

While working on door wiring, I found a baby blue wire hanging down. It seems like it goes in harness up behind dash/driver's side. Any ideas what this goes to?

Need more info, maybe a pic would be best. It's possible it could be an extra wire coming out of the harness that is used for some option you dont have. Or it could be a broken wire that has a mate somewhere near. What engine, trans, option package do you have?

That is a factory provided trailer brake wire. Prior to 2002 there was an entire connector but for some reason Jeep deleted that convenience for their customers that purchased the tow package. At least they left the wire.

I installed a brake controller last year so am familiar with this wire.
