2000 WJ Passenger (right) mirror option

Is auto-dim an option for the passenger side rearview mirror?

Remote, yes
Heated, yes
Auto-dim, I cannot determine, without popping mirror off the remote motor gimbal.

This is only year 2000 for which I am asking.

Appears to be an option only for the driver's side.
From the 2000 FSM: Vehicles equipped with the automatic day/night mirror system are also available with an optional factory-installed automatic dimming outside rear view mirror for the driver side of the vehicle.

I hate the auto dims on my Overland. Turned them both off the day I bought the car and have never turned them on again

I have an 01’ Dodge Durango with Auto Dimming Rearview and Auto Dimming and Heated Drivers...Yes, and I like my auto dimming feature 😉
Now, and unfortunately, my 99’ WJ Laredo has neither ☹️

And how did that answer the OP question?

To answer your question Auto dim only applys to the rear view mirror and the driver side mirror. Passanger never had auto dim.

I have thought about that, as well as sourcing the power folding mirrors.

I have a spare right mirror if anyone wants to trade lol.

I would love to replace the "objects are smaller ******* mirror". If anyone has a european drivers side with auto-dim with the harness.... i'll take it!

Auto-dim? I thought the option was auto-dip (which would be on the passenger side) & was a bit disappointed mine didn't have that.

If Overlands have this feature on both sides, why would anyone want a European spec one (although I suspect that what's meant is a RHD market one) - is to get an auto-dim AND flat glass for the passenger side? If so, I might be able to do something but (1) doubt you'd like the price (2) does the US passenger door have a harness with the extra wires?

My 04 has drivers side auto dim only afaik they're all like that. You'd need the entire mirror too for the auto dim wires.
