Won't start, even after fuel relay bypass

I have a 2011 5.7 overland that started having starting issues about a month ago and now will not start at all. This time I noticed the engine idling rough when I went out to the store. Came back from the store, it started but died 3 feet later. Then would not start again. I noticed my jeep has not had the TIPM fuel relay recall done, so I tried making a bypass cable as noted here. Still won't start. If I pop the start button off and try to start it with the key, it does not crank and there is a buzzing coming from the center console. Anyone know what that could be? Please help, I'm afraid to take this thing to the dealer!

Did you check fuel rail pressure?

Any DTCs set? Check Engine light?

When was the last time the plugs were changed.

Does the throttle body seem to be dirty?

Dunno what the buzzing is, should work the same as the push button. Are you using the same FOB you always have?

Thanks, I haven't had a chance to test much yet. Will take a closer look tonight. I read the instructions again for the bypass cable and realized I should have used the 2 right slots in M7 instead of the left, so maybe that's the issue. I don't seem to be hearing the fuel pump at all.

you do NOT have to use a authorized jeep dealer, any professional technician can work this.
Pick your service provider as you would any other professional be it an attorney, physician, accountant etc. Ask your family, colleagues, neighbors, church members who services they use.

When I see the price of OEM I think aftermarket.
When I see the quality of aftermarket I think OEM.

Figured it out. Turns out it does have the fuel relay recall performed. I was looking at a photo which seemed to indicate there is a high speed fan relay in that location but my Jeep doesn't have it. So I pulled out my bypass wire and replaced the relay with a 40a out of my parts drawer and it started right up. I'll be ordering a few of the weatherproof Omron ones and keeping a spare in the glove box.

Thanks for the follow up. The relay used in the recall seems to be failure prone.
