We went to the city parking garage 5th floor today to park our WK2 out of harm's way of the possible wrath of Hurricane Dorian. We parked my Alfa Romeo there, too. We keep out our 04 WJ Overland to drive back to ride out the storm's wind and rain. I think Virginia Beach is just going to have tropical storm effects.

Now the poor wine burgundy colored WK2 that got stuck in the surf in Myrtle Beach will be a storm casualty for sure.

This is about the area where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean. The lighthouse and mountains are in Washington State, the beach with the trucks on the sand are in Oregon State. Over the last few years I have found lots of beaches in Oregon to drive on although I haven't done any driving on any of them.

Took a drive to Beatty, Nevada (Gateway to Death Valley) and ate at Happy Burro Chili and Beer. Then drove to the Rhyolite Ghost Town.

Can't get the dang picture to load since photobucket sucks... what do you all use for image hosting/image links?

EDIT: Added picture.

This is right up my alley! Would love more info on your bourbon trail trip. My lady works for Jim Beam so we are thinking of doing something along those lines.

Got my 2019 dirty for the first time. I'm in Port Angeles WA, just below Hurricane Ridge. Went up there, easy road, paved all the way. Today I did the drive to the Deer Park campground. About 8 miles of hard packed dirt, steep climbs, sharp cut backs. I've been up in my Wrangler and was curious to see how the GC would handle it. Piece of cake, and easier than the Wrangler.
Clear day, and nice view of the strait.

Cheers to Chicagoland! Bourbon trip was amazing, went to Buffalo Trace and Woodford Reserve but have been to Bulleit in years past. Great way to spend a weekend, and hit some waffle houses on the way down.

I'll play.

Went to Mound Eye Clinic to get my glasses repaired. Then to Great Clips for a hair cut.

Livin' large!
