Is there a vehicle order tracking system online?

I ordered a new GC and thought there was a link on Jeep's site to track my order by the VIN. I can't find it, and none of the suggestions I've found seems to work. Thanks.

The old tracking gateway was shut down a couple years ago. You may be able to still request tracking status from Jeep via the Jeep owners portal (I think via email), but they don't provide as much detail. Otherwise, its a dealer access only.

I just got lost in thought. It was unfamiliar territory;

Also curious. I placed an order about 2 weeks ago, and am having a hard time waiting... I think I read and watched every wk2 review on the webs by now, and have researched about five possible contingencies for future mods. The waiting is killing me.

According to Lithia, only a dealer can check the stratus.

For tracking every so often when you feel like it, click on Live Chat in the link below and the rep will provide status.

Thanks, I'll try the Jeep site tomorrow. I thought you mentioned a ******** site as well, but it's gone today. Maybe it was pulled, perhaps because that site seems to want payment for research that's available for free.

Yeah, there is a competitive Jeep forum type site that certain levels of paid membership gets tracking availability. I believe the owners there work in the Jeep assembly plants and offer this service as a perk.

I would just do it for free thru Jeep and the chat rep.

Yeah, I just chatted to a rep through the Jeep's chat system. A pretty simple process really, took me just a few minutes to get an update. Sounds like I might be driving my new Jeep next week.

Success! It indeed was easy (and free) to chat, and I should have my GCT by 11/24. Not bad considering that I ordered it on 10/2. Thanks, everyone, for your help!

Your estimated date WILL change as the weeks pass if you only go by Jeep Live Chat system. It isn't that accurate.

The estimated date will change regardless of where you get your data. Train schedules change, jeeps get pulled out for random QC inspections, train cars are late, there is an issue that needs fixed.... Any system can only be precise about where the vehicle is now (some sources can provide more granularity than others) and what is the anticipated next step. Everything else is a prediction, for which they do a pretty good job for things FCA can control.

Yes, things can change, but I can check as often as I like, and for free.

There is only one very good system that will track the vehicle thru the rail line system and yes it costs...... but Milous/ResumeSpeed is the only guy that can give you accurate daily updates right to the time the vehicle arrives at your dealer so you can watch it roll off the truck. Period.

But hey if free is what you like... you get what you pay for.

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which unskilled people make poor decisions and reach erroneous conclusions, but their incompetence denies them the meta-cognitive ability to realize their mistakes.
