Stall on start and even just driving

I have had the recall done for the fuel pump relay. Within 20 minutes of getting the Jeep back it stalled. That was two years ago, it continues to stall on start and even driving in a straight line or turning a corner. I learned to drive like I'm 99 years old at a corner or traffic light, leaving plenty of gap between traffic during a turn and have an exit strategy in case it stalls in traffic.

I've got the restart down to 3 seconds, wave my arm for behind traffic to see, hard brake, throw into park, press the button to get out of run, foot on brake, press button to restart, slam into drive and stand on it

So frustrated with this defect, I've tried all sorts of start up procedures for a start up sequence nothing has worked, still randomly stalls, multiple times a month

HELP anyone!

I've thought about putting on the recalled external relay an led showing 12V power in and an led showing 12V power out to fuel pump. The idea is at a stall if I can go open the hood and see if either side of the relay is not showing power. Anyone know the wiring for the relay?

Another thought is to jumper out the shifter needing to be in park to re start, scared to do that for obvious reasons. But would allow me to quickly get run mode off and restart it

Sounds like the dealer may have not installed the relay quite right and there is a loose connection somewhere.

There are a few stalling threads, and I think sometimes the alternator or bad grounding... when I get a chance I'll try to find one. Some suffered with stalling for years. You probably have read all of them by now.

ColdCase, you are so right, read so much I gave up for awhile. Came back in to see if there was any fresh info after a close call at an intersection with a gravel truck. Anyone have a detailed wiring diagram of the "fix" with the external relay Jeep put out?

I did not suffered a stall and I suffered a not start.
Fuel relay has been done in the past.
HOWEVER, the Chrysler mechanic told my mechanic that it MIGHT fix the problem, but he could not be 100% sure.
We did change 4 relays on my Jeep. I can't remember what they were.
The jeep have started everyday since then....

Yeah the relay they put in as part of the recall is not the best, there are better replacement, I think the no-start haunted relay threads mention it. The stalling while driving is usually something else. But replacing the relay is cheap, may work.

Have to figure out if it's the relay or the pump.

I did the relay last fall and so far so good. Got a spare relay also.

Or connections where they hack into the TIPM module.

While waiting for the relay to come I decided to try super premium since I was on empty, stalled on start four times in three days. Relay came today and have installed, had two successful starts so far, YEAH

Relay in and same OEM Omron part number that dealer put in for recall. Jeep started 3 times without stalling, then yesterday and today stalled on start four times. So not the relay, wiring, or fuel octane, anyone got anything else to try?

There is another recent thread here where the throttle body and spark plugs were replaced and solved the stalling issue.

How do you know its not the wiring?
