seeing front camera

Anyone know of a way to display what front camera sees onto the Uconnect screen? My wife's Nissan does this and I think it would be helpful. Thanks for any help.

The sensor in the bumper is a radar. The forward facing camera in the rear view mirror processes its video on camera and sends results as data over the CAN bus. No video, RAW or otherwise, leaves the camera.

Thanks. Answers my question, although I feel a little foolish.

Not foolish, the question has been asked by several members over the years, and I don't think any of them were fools

Just curious why this would be a useful feature (Nissan or not)? However, it does bring up an interesting point. Lots of people getting/have dash cams, does the Nissan's record video?

A front camera is useful for determining how close you are to a curb when parking (or garage wall). Perhaps more useful off road. The WK2 has a high hood and when on the trail, driving over a rise, its hard to see whats ahead (like perhaps a cliff drop off ) There have been a few here install a front camera just for that purpose. It seems to be easier than getting out and spotting.

ahh that makes total sense now. Sounds like a very useful feature, especially for an off-road vehicle.
