Oil engine capacity

Hi .My name is Johny and I have just bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2013 .
It’s a 3.0 V6 diesel model .How much engine oil would I need to buy for a service?

I think 8.2 quarts may be the full capacity. For changing the oil, you never get 100% out of it out, gas or diesel. wk2jeeps.com has a lot of information on it, and they list it as 8 quarts.

If you can get ahold of an owners manual, diesel supplement, it would have this:

3.0 Liter Diesel Engine (SAE 5W-30 Synthetic, ACEA C3 Certified Low Ash); 8 Quarts US, 7.7 Liters Metric.

Oils should meet Chrysler material standard MS-11106 or Pennzoil Ultra Euro L full synthetic

Do not mistake temptation for opportunity

Previous: 2000 Grand Cherokee Laredo I6, 1979 CJ7 I6 Quadratrac

Thanks a lot guys.Thats very helpful .I normally use Castrol oil on my cars.I think 5w 30 Castrol edge is the right one for my Jeep GC Overland .

You might check ebay for the supplemental manual or you may be able to download and print one.
