Anyone have the software so we can do this without fooling with the dealer?

Note that this says "built in 2011" and not MY 2011.

As for letting the owner or anyone not in the factory chain do this, you have got to be kidding. Am suprised an industry has not grown up to fill this void. Sounds like an opportunity for a profit (but need a chinese wall).

One of these is a diesel.

Yes but how ? Am surprised someone hasn't written a program to down and upload the programming. Then diddling is easy. Is there one ?

for someone in the know.... should this TSB apply to my '11 WK2 with the RBZ 430 (no nav)? My dealership told me this TSB didn't apply to mine... and they may be right... but I'm always skeptical of what they tell me. Hell... I had to tell them about the new TSB.

If you're not on the list, it doesn't apply.

the last couple of updates have all been doable by the owner even though the tsb said it had to be done by the owner. we just have to hope that someone will upload the file for us.

Do you guys have a good site you use to get the 430N/730N updates for free (to update via USB or burned CD)? I heard, but am not sure, that if you have the dealer update your media center it is like a ~$100 fee each time. Please tell me if I am completely wrong too.
