The map update site takes you to the U-Connect update site first, since you have to make sure you have the latest U-Connect update before installing the map update. It explains this quite clearly if you read the instructions.

FYI, I installed map updates in May of '15 that I purchased here: http://chryslergroup.navigation.com/...ChryslerNA/USD
My original map database was "2012Q2". After installing the May '15 update it showed as "2013Q4". My radio is 8.4AN. I waited over 2 years for this update from the time I purchased my GC. That update was announced in late summer of '14, but was never available until May '15. Don't hold your breath for updates, we're not much of a priority. Although the update had refreshed map and poi data, it was no where near current. This is the nature of the beast. If you want fresh data, rely on your phone or a stand alone unit. I love the way the oem interface works, and the convenience of the built in screen, but I keep a Garmin Nuvi in the console for backup.

My 2015 Grand Cherokee Summit has a build date of December 20, 2015. The Map says 2014June. I called and they said they come in the fall every 2 years. For what they charge why not every year? How do they come out in the fall every other year and mine is June 2014. Maybe June 2014 wasn't released until the fall of 2014. To put a map that is a year and a half old in a new Jeep, seems ridiculous. Dorothy

Dorothy , I agree. My sister in law purchased the Nav upgrade on her Cherokee and they installed it while we waited. Her maps are up to date. My summit build date was also Dec 2015 and they are 2 years out of date.

Jeep Cares? What say you about this? (Other than "have you had your vehiclediagnosed by an authorized dealer?")

My build is dec 2015 with old maps.

It's a little funny. When my sister in law drives to work in her new Cherokee, she's driving on a freeway. Same direction, I'm Driving in a river bed! Her database shows nearest gas stations. Mine shows Wheelrights and stables!

Just updated the Software version today but your Map DB matches what I've got. Mine is a May 2015 build.

Yes, that is the latest maps currently available for your model year.

If Chrysler really cared they'd have the updates more often, and charge less. When you what you can get free from Waze, Google Maps, & Apple, it's really disgusting.

Why should Chrysler care any more than other car companies. Its probably an insignificant contributor to their bottom line, and it doesn't appear that anyone cares once you are off the lot.

I was born with nuttin' and I still have most of it
