Driver door hinge popping

Has anyone had or fixed a popping noise coming from the front door hinges? It feels and sounds like a detent worn out in either the upper or lower hinge but I can't figure out which one it is.

There have been some other threads on this topic. I think the consensus is that the only fix is to replace the hinge. My 2015 has this issue also. You might search the forum and look at the other threads.

There happens to be a thread indexed in the maintenance sticky. You replace the hinge to resolve. Fairly simple with two people.
emacca and kidtriton like this.

I just got lost in thought. It was unfamiliar territory;

Replace the lower door hinge
Cheap part takes about half hour to replace
job easy to do

Most of that time is taken adjusting door alignment
Also easy to do

Some don’t even paint the hinge

I did

Don’t put up with the noise
