Chattering Noise At Idle 3.6 Penstar 2015

Hi guys I have been getting a chattering noise pretty much all the time at idle. Its pretty loud and sounds like it might be coming from down in the middle of the car where the exhaust pipe goes into a the first big silver exhaust system(?). I can hear it outside the car easily. I took a quick 6 second video on my iPhone but the site doesn't allow it to be uploaded. Its a .MOV file. If there is a way to upload the .MOV file it would be a lot easier to diagnose I'm sure

Any thoughts on what the load chattering noise might be? This is 2015 Limited with the 3.6 Penstar about 68K miles.

Thanks

Convert it to mp4, perhaps. How big is it?

The V6 cam phasers can get noisy.

Exhaust leak?

I just got lost in thought. It was unfamiliar territory;

There is a size limit, but I think its 10MB. So I dunno. There is a forum help section where you could ask whats up. https://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f373/

Check for loose or bent heat shields.

My wife's 2015 3.6 had to have all the rockers and one of the cams on the right side of the engine replaced at 70,000 for a noise like you're describing. It can sound like it's coming from under the vehicle with the hood closed.

I have a few spare rockers if you need them, quite easy to swap....

Yeah that pretty much what I have. If i open the hood i can hear it it almost sound like it is coming from the pulley by the belt but its really loud when I get under the car and listen to it. help desk told me to post a video to YouTube an link it back to thread so I will give that a shot. Never posted a video but I'll bet my 17 year old son knows how.

Any chance it may be the heat shield on the catalytic converter or a bad converter caused by the inside mesh collapsing which will then rattle?

That's a link to your own videos that only you can see when you're logged in as you. Everyone else that clicks it sees their own videos, not yours.

Jack were you able to watch and listen to the video?

Not being a "car guy" I'm not sure if its a heat shield or a bad converter but it sure seems load down underneath the car where I shot the video. The weird thing is that its not constant and seems to cycle on then off. I'm hoping to get some kind of consensus diagnosis from the more experienced people on this forum before making an appointment at the dealer to have them look at it. I do have the Lifetime MaxCare warranty but it does have a $100 deductible. Not sure if something like this would even be covered.

Sorry I am not a social media expert. I use the internet but not to post info. I have it posted as public. Hopefully this works.

That's definitely not rockers/cam. That sounds like it's something vibrating from touching and related to the AC compressor cycling on and off. At 23 seconds it sounds like the AC compressor clutch kicks on and loads the engine some and increases the rattle.

Look at the belt and see if you can notice excessive vibration when you hear the noise. Does it vibrate with AC off? There are skid plates that can vibrate something like this.

Here is another video but from under the hood. This was taken shortly before the video underneath the Jeep that I previously posted. Thoughts?
