Blind Spot Monitoring Add On

Just purchased a 2018 GC Limited for my wife. She loves it but it’s her first SUV and she’s having a hard time being comfortable changing lanes and being aware of her surroundings. I know there are some aftermarket options but is it possible to get the OEM blind spot installed?

Last I checked you need a couple expensive radar modules, a control box, some wire harness and a way to program the PCM with the blind spot option.

The question comes up now and then but haven't seen anyone do it. It may be easier to trade in on one with blindspot.

I was born with nuttin' and I still have most of it.

it was a $500 option in 2018 and I doubt you can retrofit for anywhere close to that price. I believe it is standard on 2019, at least on the Limited.
