I just received an email offer for the Uconnect Advantage Package--$75.00/ for a year, which seems to include the remote start. I am considering it; is this the same or similar to what your talking about? Anyone have this, and is it worth it??

It is normally fitted somewhere under the hood, bumper etc. Not inside cabin or cargo area

these heaters from Webasto or Eberspacher are very popular here, installed many of it into various cars/vans with no issues
They even make a direct fit kits for soem modells, including all mounting material, wire looms, pre-made hoses etc.

We also install a russian made Planar heaters. It is made for Siberia, works out of the box, price is far below the Webasto, quality is very
reasonable, did not have any single issue and in many ways it is even better than Eber or Webasto. The burning chamber is stainless, it has a
self clean mode to burn out the soot... And it is also available in USA

I would strongly recommend to avoid the chinese crap, it runs for couple months then falls apart. The burning chamber is so thin like
made of a recycled soda can. With diesel it just burns over and dies, but with gas version i would fear that if it fails then you will have a big camp fire

If you´re in the UK than thats even easier. Webasto and Eber are readily available and there should be also a premade kit for CRD.

For Planar you also have a direct UK dealer
