Question 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Fuel Pump Relay

I noticed today that my wife's 2015 Chrysler Town & Country has a separate relay that looks like the fuel pump relay fix on the Jeeps. Her car has never been to the dealer for fuel pump issues, so I am wondering if the dealer put it in when it went in for the lifters ticking, or is it possible it came that way from the factory. At this point, I am assuming it is something else, but it reminds me that...

My question is really about my 2105 JGC. I am wondering who has had this done on their 2014 or 2015 BBC since they are not part of the recall? Was it covered by the dealer since it is a known issue? If not, what did they charge?

I believe by 2014 they switched to a different TIPM.

Yes sir, it is a different TIPM, but the fuel pump relay still on the circuit board. So, I am just trying to understand if I need to be prepared for he failure or if they are better than the previous TIPMs.

Hopefully it isn't the old relay on the TIPM. There should be a page out there that tells you the specifics.

You might want to take a look at this website:

https://www.verticalvisions.com/tipm...ade-fuses.html

The seller offers a "jumper wire" that could get you home if your relay goes out.

The same seller offers TIPM repairs and other relay replacement solutions.

I actually just received the jump wire this past weekend to keep in the JGC in case of emergency. I haven't had an issue yet, but I want to make sure that if I do have an issue, I won't be stranded.
