Jeff Hanneman R.I.P

A sad day for all Slayer fans and metalheads worldwide. Thursday May 2, 2013 Jeff Hanneman dies from liver failure at age 49 stemming from an apparent spider bite. A true pioneer of thrash music and influence to many if not all current metal and hard core music of today.

This is sad ,as Slayer were working on new material for an up coming album due to be released later this year. Slayer was the first band I saw live during their 1990 " Seasons in the Abyss" tour with Testament and again that year on the "Clash of the Titans" tour.

You will be missed brother, thank you for the riff's that will be forever Reign in my Blood!

I learned about his passing last night while I was watching the Golden Gods awards. Very sad.

When I was driving home from work they day he died, I put on Facebook that anyone who does not think metal is music needs to listen to Angel Of Death by Slayer and just skip forward to 3:30ish in the song. Right after I put that, I saw a friend had posted about an hour earlier that he had passed. Creepy. Rest in peace to a legend.
