I enjoy sharing my experiences with those that ask. The only thing that irks me is the inevitable "did you kill someone" question. For whatever reason, civilians have a perverse curiosity about this.
Otherwise I'm open to all questions. For the most part, my deployment experiences (especially the first one) were positive. I always feel it is important folks get the story from first hand experience instead of from various news outlets.
I deployed as an older guy with old school experiences and training that allowed me to absorb with better perspective than most, much of the issues around me.


Paperwork will ruin any military force.
