Thanks. FYI Not sure where you live, but most places are staffed by vollies, be it FD and EMS. Their always looking for help. If you have the time most places could use more help.

Seems like everyday is a Monday.

I have never really given that a thought since I have asthma. I remember talking to a navy recruiter when I got out of high school, and that was the reason why I wasn't taken. I figured because of that, I would not be much help as a volunteer.

Not trying to make an excuse, but just trying to explain why I've always had this (maybe bad) assumption on my part though out my life. My wife is a full time nurse, my best friend a cop who was also (along with my two brothers and many other friends of mine) Marines.

I thought I would start this thread as a "thank you" because at times I feel the jobs these people do do not get the respect they deserve.

Its nice to feel appreciated sometimes. From a firefighter, paramedic, swatmedic, reserve police officeer, and soldier.
