New Jeep owner

I have recently purchased a used 2010 Jeep Liberty KK Limited 4wd for myself and Have ordered a Skyjacker lift kit for it #LIB258K-M (I know it is not liked in the community) but through work I paid less than $100 for it. It came with 235-60R18 tires and I was going to swap them out with either some 245-70/75R17 or 235-80R17. Any thoughts about this setup, It is a daily driver and have no plans for serious off road just some gravel or dirt roads.

Welcome to the forum.

Just a quick question about your setup, you mentioned your lift came with 235-60R18 tires, are those mounted on wheels or are you going to have to find wheels to fit the tires?

The reason I have asked is I am wanting to change up my 245-70R16 to an 18” rim but having a heck of a time finding 18” wheels.
Plain steel would be fine but finding mostly 17” or 19”. 17” won’t accommodate a future mod & 19” doesn’t have the sidewall height I want.

Again, welcome to the forum.

The 18" wheels are stock wheels that I would be replacing with 17" wheels

Take careful measurements. You may or may not need a little bit of bumpstop extension with 32" tires. My skinny 31s are just fine without bumpstop extension. Teraflex sells big front bumpstop extensions that would allow you to run 33" tires.

2017 JK
2016 MK- Murchison springs, ~1" BL, skinny 30s
2011 KK- H&R lift springs, OldManEmu shocks/struts, skinny 31s
2009 Sorento- H&R springs, ToyTec strut spacers, OldManEmu shocks/struts, 31s
2006 TJ budget LCG prerunner- see profile
2006 Trailblazer- EXT lift, Nth LJ 4.5" springs + Monroe rear coilovers, skinny 32s
1998 Durango- SuspMax & Roadmaster lifts, rear Truetrac, skinny 32s

Could you post a photo of the 18” with some details of what model year they were made for. I’m assuming they were originally for a KK Liberty.

Brokemechanic, if you find a minute, could you look in the back of the wheel & post the part number?
It is usually, but not always, in/on one of the spokes.
I am narrowing down the 18” wheels I want for my project & would like to see what your’s look like before I decide.

Thanks,
Joe
