Jeep Information

Hey Jeepers, got a weird one for you guys. My 2014 wrangler came with a lift already installed. I have had some trouble trying to find the exact lift height. My main reason for needing to know is because I am looking to buy new shocks to replace the current Bilstein ones. Here’s my situation: I measured the current Bilsteins and here’s what I got. Front- extended:24.63, compressed-15. Back- extended 25, compressed 15.39. Matched it up to their website and it says that it fits anywhere from 1.5 to 3 inches of lift. I’m looking to get teraflex falcons and of course the ride heights differ. For the 1.5-3 inch lift the measurements are. Front- extended 25.1, compressed-16.7. Back extended 24.4, compressed-16.0. Now the next step up is the 3 inch to 3.5 inch which measures, front - extended 27.0 compressed-17.8 and back extended 26.3 and compressed 17.1. Should I go with the 3-3.5 inch shocks? I feel like it’s better to have them longer than too short correct? Please help a guy out!!
