I had my coolant temp sending unit go bad recently in my 1994 YJ 2.5. After replacement the temperature gauge in the Jeep is reading 230 idling in my driveway and about the same while driving. Is this too high? I let it get to temp and felt the top radiator hose and it was NOT rock solid. I could definitely compress it quite a bit. Is this the sign of a faulty water pump? What else can I do to verify? At what temperature should I not drive the Jeep? Thanks.
