This is so cool because this is exactly what I want My cj to be. I am also going to be running the 4.0 head on the 4.2. I have someone who definitely knows what they are doing and is gonna help me with this project. I have a 1984 cj7 handed down from my dad and I could really use as much information on this swap as possible. Also, what did you do to your fenders to fit 35'' so nicely?

I have made some changes to my tires and the height of the lift. I am 70 years old and the 35's, at around 95lb apiece , were getting too heavy to deal with. I now have 33" Dick Cepek tires on alloy rims weighing 65lb. I also installed one inch shorter shackles. It still has a 3" lift with a 1" body lift.
Most of the work was already done when I bought the Jeep. The fender extensions were already on the Jeep when I bought it.
Good luck on your build.
