Willed a 76 cj5 after uncle passed away
Hello, first time post not sure if I'm doing this right. I have my uncle's 76 cj5 with 304 edelbrock cam, intake and 1406 edelbrock carb.
It has had the Jeep hammer duraspark conversion done to it with MSD 6al , MSD ecoil MSD cut to fit plug wire's , high temp plug covers over plug boots, MSD lrg cap adapt kit and rotor. My issue is it's a wiring mess from old stuff left on . The new MSD is partially hooked up and it's triggered from the distributor orange and black are hooked up to cool . wires for ballast resistor are unplugged wire's from voltage regulator are unplugged actually not even there. Wires are not hooked up to alternator either it has three posts off of the back of it. I have the MSD print out but not sure what to do with voltage reg and alternator should I run the double post ballast resistor also? Any help would be great as I'm trying to get this cj5 back up again. It was his pride and joy for hunting here in Washington State.
